To be eligible to join Popcar, you must:
- Be 18 years old or older.
- Have at least one year of driving experience.
- Hold a valid physical, unrestricted driver's licence that legally permits you to drive a motor vehicle in Australia.
- Have no licence suspensions, disqualifications, or driving convictions within the past five (5) years.
- Reside within close proximity to a Popcar vehicle or service area, as membership is intended for users who can reasonably access and return Popcar vehicles.
Meeting these requirements helps ensure the safety and reliability of our service for all members.
Driver's licence requirements
- You are required to have at least a Class C or CA licence.
- Learners and Provisional P1 Licences are not accepted.

Note: We don't provide P-Plates for Provisional P2 License Holders in our cars, so please bring your own!
You must have had no major violations or incidents, including:
- Excessive speed
- Operating to endanger, reckless driving, etc
- Leaving the scene of an accident involving property damage
- Operating a vehicle with a suspended or revoked licence
- Users of Popcar will be required to accept the Terms & Conditions of using our service.
