Alternatively, you may tap Report an accident on your Booking page in the app for prompt support from our dedicated team.
After ensuring your safety and the safety of your passengers (if any), follow these steps:
- Remain calm. If possible, activate the hazard lights and avoid moving the vehicle if possible.
- Tap Report an Accident button on your Booking page.
- Share the accident details with our Support Team.
- Gather details from any third parties involved. These include:
- Driver’s name
- Phone number
- Photo of the third parties’ driver’s licence (front only)
- Rego number
- Vehicle make and model
- Photos of the damages on the vehicle and any public property
- Clear accident scene photos
- Please complete the accident from we will send via email to fill out once our call with has concluded - pending [link]
- If a Popcar vehicle is not in a driveable condition, our Support Team will send our towing partners out to you.
- Next steps: Please note that Popcar is not responsible for any incidental costs incurred as a result of an accident or breakdown, including any taxi or Uber fares. However, in the event of a mechanical breakdown, Popcar may: at its sole discretion, provide you with a replacement vehicle or refund the relevant booking fees via a promo code
- Please note that a police report must be made if the accident involves:
- Damage to government property
- Pedestrians
- Cyclists
- Hit and run
- Any injuries to any person
