If you return to your booked Popcar and discover it has been damaged while you were away (for example, in a hit-and-run) and there were no witnesses, please follow these steps:
1. Document the scene
Take clear photos of:
- The damage to the Popcar vehicle
- The surrounding area where the vehicle is parked
- The overall scene from multiple angles
- Any tyre marks, debris, or other evidence that may help identify what happened
2. Report the incident
Tap Report an Accident on your booking page in the Popcar app. This will prompt you to contact our Support Team for immediate assistance.
Our Support Team is available daily from 9am to 10pm on 02 9001 4888.
If the incident occurs outside our operating hours, please email hello@popcar.com.au with the incident details and supporting photos. Our team will review your case and get back to you as soon as possible.
3. Report the incident to the police
As this is considered a hit-and-run, please report the incident to the police. If there is an emergency or anyone is injured, call 000 immediately. Otherwise, follow your local police reporting requirements.
When making your report, be prepared to provide:
- The location of the incident
- The approximate time you discovered the damage (or when it may have occurred, if known)
- Photos or any other evidence you have collected
Our Support Team will guide you through the next steps once you've contacted us.
